Montmorillonite clay is a valuable resource as it helps to stabilize pH but also helps to control nuisance algae. While helping to keep your water crystal clear, it performs much better than activated charcoal as it binds heavy metal ions and toxins in the water. It also helps to promote the growth of beneficial bacteria which is critical to the ecosystem of your aquarium. Montmorillonite clay also contains essential minerals for healthy shrimp and proper molting.
Shrimp envy Monti-Clay contains 25% Mironekuton mineral powder as well. Mironekuton is a deep-sea mineral clay that contains over 66 minerals and trace elements. We dose this weekly in all of our shrimp tanks at Shrimp Envy.
