It will not affect pH or hardness, will not disentegrate, and is clean and ready to use. Also contains a live bacteria packet and is infused with mychorrizal fungi for enhanced root growth. Makes a beautiful and functional backdrop for shrimp and planted aquaria. Samurai Soil is incredibly porous and pH neutral. The smaller grain size keep smaller shrimp from getting lost in the substrate and increases biological filtration.
